Before You Start
- USB Headset with MIC for recording
- Internet connection – minimum 2.5Mbps download 1 Mbps upload Check at www.speedtest.net
- Windows (7 or XP)
  • 1GB RAM, at least 1GB free disk space
  • Internet Explorer 8 or higher
  • Ensure Firewall is not active
- Mac OSX



Lobby


- Active Users
  • These are the users currently on the system
  • Chat with users
- Lobby
  • To Start a new project as an Owner

    • Click on create project
    • Name Project, select public or private
    • This will launch the studio

  • To JOIN an existing project as a collaborator for the first time

    • Click on Join Project, studio will be launched
    • Click Resume Project to join a previously joined project




Studio - First Time Setup


- Click on YES for Adobe Flash permission, active X plugin
- Click on Audio/Video
  • Ensure your headset is selected for record input and chat input
  • Click on OK to Save
- Invite User
  • Click on Invite User to send an email invitation for a second user to join your session
- Second User Joins
  • Second users name appears in CONTROLLER
  • Chat and video will function for both users




Create Music


- Search or Upload music content
  • Search

    • Enter name or click on sound bank for type of music desired

  • Upload

    • Upload your own sample (MP3 OR WAV supported)
- Drag Music into Sequencer
  • Simply Drag selected music into sequencer
  • User 2's session will update with this music
  • Click on play
  • Both users will be able to hear the music in real time
- Repeat to add more tracks into the sequencer (up to 12)




Record Vocals


- Select who the vocalists are
  • (MICROPHONE highlighted in RED for active vocalist in session)

- Activate Channel for recording
  • On the left hand side of the sequencer, pick a channel, and click on R. This will highlight the channel in RED, indicating ready to record vocals

- Click on the RED record button, and sing!
  • Click on the record button, you will hear 3 clicks. After this, begin your recording. The second user will hear you in real time.
  • Click STOP when you are done singing and save you vocal to a desired location in the library

- Hit play to listen to your recording.








Saving mixdown
Save Mixdown
- Click on Save Mixdown button
- Type in name of song
- Boomdizzle will create a .wav file
- Select location on your computer to save song
- Congratulations, you have made yourself a song!
 

- The Boomdizzle MyConnect Studio allows users to edit the WAV forms in the sequencer. The following are a list of shortcuts.
