Bio

Nate Matthews was born September 25, 1991 and was raised in San Diego, California. He always had a passion for music because the people around him were an influence. At age 12 he wrote and submitted his 1st song in a winterfresh company contest. After the company replied with positive feedback and a box full of their products, he decided to keep doing the music thing. With a lack of decent recording tools throughout middle school he usually just filled up composition books with lyrics but never recorded them. Without beats his rhymes sounded more like poetry. In his 8th grade year he submitted and original poem to ‘Young Poets Speak Out’. He was surprised to find out that it was accepted and published in the company’s yearly ‘Celebration’ book. With family support he began to get equipment that helped improve his music. Nate Matthews released his 1st mixtape as a freshman. Since then he has released 8 CDs in total, producing some of the beats as well as making music videos. He made a name for himself . . .
